Most have seen the previews for the new movie called, Marley and Me. It looks like a funny movie that people with crazy dogs could relate to. That’s what I thought until I recently went to see the movie with my dad, brother and our friends. In the beginning it was funny to see the puppy, Marley, misbehave as all untrained puppies do. Like tearing up the furniture, howling in the night, and the reaction to the weather. Everything was something that our family, (having a crazy once untrained border collie,) could relate to. As we got to the middle of the movie, the story started to center around the growing family. The family was made up of 3 kids, (2 boys and 1 girl), and the parents. Marley of course was still untrained and misbehaved, (he was kicked out of obedience classes), and wasn’t making the situation of a stay at home mother taking care of 3 children. So the movie centered around the family problems for a while. In the endish of the movies things seem to take a turn for Marley.
The rating for Marley and Me is rated PG-13. That is because there are bad words in some parts of the movie. And mature scenes. It is okay for a young teen as myself or pre-teens. It was a good movie and I highly recomend the movie. If you are an animal lover who likes comedy, sadness, and things people could relate to, this is a great movie for you!
